Racing Schedule

Deep Creek Yacht Racing Association (DCYRA) runs weekend races through out the summer. Racing begins on Memorial Day weekend and goes through to Labor Day Weekend. The Season is broken up in to 2 series.

  • July-August Series

Sailors are scored on how they finished in each race. Awards are presented to the top sailors in each fleet and division.

Regattas

Deep Creek Yacht Racing Association (DCYRA) sponsors

the annual regattas on the lake. Regattas include: 

  • Commodore's Cup - Memorial Day Weekend 

  • Women's & Junior Regatta 

  • Firecracker Regatta - 4th of July Weekend

  • Laser Invitational Regatta (ILCA)*  

  • Sandy Douglass Memorial Regatta*

  • Becker's Cup Regatta - Labor Day Weekend

* National events that bring sailors from around the country​

In September, friendly, less traditional regattas

are held including The Magellan Cup and

Fair Winds Regatta.
